April Anderson is a photographer, videographer, editor and "Head Instigator" behind the Art As Air Project, exploring the processes behind creativity, showcasing artists, life adventurers and issues facing our world in the words and images of those who are in the front lines of change.
The goal is outreach within communities of all genres and genders in order to create a "world archive," shining a light upon unity, passion and connection.
April is the cinematographer/director/editor for several award-winning documentary films including "Beyond The Paint," "Tails of Iceland" and a 2022 documentary release called "Fire & Iceland," which is the story of the 2021 Fagradalsfjall volcanic eruption that fascinated the rest of the world at the tail-end of the first Covid-19 lockdown.
"For A Wild Tomorrow" was a documentary release in 2024 that highlights the efforts and dedication of the creators and supporters of the non-profit organization Wild Tomorrow, who are actively involved in conservation of our endangered wildlife by preserving, protecting and rewilding in South Africa.
A documentary short featuring the endangered Faroese horses and efforts to save the breed is slated for a 2025 release.
