  • Shalee Jade Treharne was born on the 20th May, 1992, and grew up in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria. Shalee discovered her passion for film production in her last year of high school when she wrote, directed, shot, composed and edited her first short film "The Teenage Hurricane". Shalee is due to graduate from her Bachelor of Film and Television in January 2014, and has specialized in production design and art direction during her time at university. In her first year, Shalee undertook a number of smaller art department roles on graduate films such as Kaiser Tangso's "The Devil You Know", Ellenor Argyropoulos' "Life Through A Lens", Erinn Stevenson's "There You Are", and Michael Stratus' Tropfest film "Friend In Law", as well as multitasking on her own short film "The Belt Theory". Shalee's first major Production Design role as the head of the art department was on the independent feature film Johnny Swade (Dir. Van Thuy Tran) which she worked on for a month in 2011. Since then, Shalee has worked on a number of different short films as the Production Designer, including Natassha Amalia's "The Suitcase" (2012) Bonnie Marnocks "Soliloquy" (2012) and "Sandwich" (2103), and David Ward's "Dorothy" (2013), in which was Shalee's first experience with set building and construction. Shalee is travelling to India to finish her degree and plans to work in the art departments of both the Australian and Indian film industries in the upcoming future.
