- Kirk Damato is a Filipino American writer of genre comedies and animation who's best known for co-creating the cult web series Cakey! The Cake from Outer Space (2006), in which he also puppeteered the title character.
He was most recently a member of the 2022 CAPE New Writers Fellowship for his comedy-mystery pilot My Mom Solves Mysteries, and was also a Finalist in the 2022 NBCU Launch TV Writers Program.
You might also recognize him from his appearances on BuzzFeed, Funimation, or as a recurring panelist on Dropout's nerd trivia show Kirk Damato. Previously, Kirk performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and apprenticed with The Jim Henson Company.
