Biography

Kevin Pellegrinelli was born in Red Bank, New Jersey in 1986. He grew up in the small town of Brick, NJ, where his early exposure to music and film sent him on his current path. Before his teens, he was already inspired by the work of Woody Allen, Stanley Kubrick, and Sergio Leone. He began writing screenplays toward the end of middle school.

By high school, Kevin was experimenting with shooting and editing anything he could. Playing in several bands at the time, he frequently had their performances, recording sessions, and practices filmed, and would edit them into whatever kind of video he could. He continued with his writing, writing new material as well as reworking several older scripts. By his junior year of high school, he set his sights on the New York Film Academy.

Five years after graduating high school, skipping around community college, and working plenty of dead ends jobs, Kevin moved to New York to pursue a career in writing, acting, directing, and editing. He completed a one year filmmaking course and an eight week writing workshop at the New York Film Academy. His most significant work was done in the Spring of 2011 when he collaborated with friend Tim Klein on Klein's thesis film. Together, they wrote the screenplay for a mid-length film, "Conceiving Angus."
