- Jesse began directing and producing video shorts in high school. He frequently collaborates with Andrew Stirling MacDonald, on projects like the indie feature "Perfection Across 23rd Street" in 2002, "The Pippens," a sketch-comedy troupe with a big online video presence, and the web series "Exile" in 2009. In 2023 he was a founding member (along with Andrew Stirling MacDonald, Jeff Harvey, and Marvin Day) of the new production company Jarden Films. While working as creative director at Jarden Films, Jesse has directed and produced several films with a slate of upcoming projects in the works.

- As a young teen, Jesse picked up work at local TV station WPBH TV60, working as a cameraman, gaffer, and switchboard operator on many different programs.
