Biography

Daren Donofrio is an actor and freelance video editor based out of New York City.

Recently, he wrapped on Season 2 of The Hunting Party (2025) and worked on the hit Netflix mini-series The Beast in Me (2025). His career highlights include having a scene with Oscar nominee, Colin Farrell, in a recurring co-star role on the critically-acclaimed dramatic mini-series The Penguin (2024), co-starring opposite Academy Award winner Russell Crowe on The Loudest Voice (2019), and appearing on the return season of the iconic police procedural Law & Order (1990). Being an avid horror fan, he was thrilled to earn a role in the Stephen King miniseries, Lisey's Story (2021).

Daren has been the voice of a national Velveeta/ Rotel ad campaign, represented BMW in a national comedic spot, and had two international car commercials for an Opel campaign that aired throughout 50+ countries. Additionally, he is experienced in English dubbing and character voiceover, lending his talents to video games, anime, and multiple foreign language films on Netflix.

In his spare time, Daren enjoys b-boying (breakdancing), DJing live events, and video editing. He always feels energized being in the company of people who are passionate about the creative arts.

He has been a club & mobile DJ for over 18 years under the name DJ Remedy, frequently performing throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and NYC.

Starting in college at Pennsylvania State University, he became a dedicated powerlifter.

He frequently plays characters with dark or troubled personal histories.

He was Steve Carell's personal driver during the filming of Freeheld.

Each day, I feel blessed to be able to actively contribute to a career in entertainment. I love that this unique art form can inspire discourse among others on any number of events, both real and fictional. As actors, we have a responsibility to reach our audience emotionally... to inspire a visceral reaction, and I strive to accomplish that whenever possible with each project I am lucky enough to be a part of.
