Biography

1988 - Browzan, (born Christopher Brown) arrives in the bohemian seaside town of Brighton & Hove, England. His roots are British, Irish and Ashkenazi Jew.

2007 - Moves to North London to study Film and Television Production at Middlesex University.

2010 - Graduates and starts working at Vertigo Films and around post-houses in Soho, London.

2011 - Makes an experimental film that screens at Cannes Film Festival's short film corner.

2012 - Works at the 2012 London Olympics.

2013 - Uses his earnings to finance his first professional short film starring Shelagh Mcleod. (Who has subsequently directed the Oscar-nominated Richard Dreyfuss) This generates interest from BAFTA mentee producer Savannah James-Bayly. He is hired to co-produce a short film directed by Toby Paton, funded by BFI Film London. It premieres at the BFI London Film Festival.

2015 - Joins Pulse Films as a freelance Producer. Uses his earnings to finance a trip to Paris and direct his first music video for a Parisian punk band. It premieres with Vice Noisey in France.

2015 - Anton Newcombe of legendary cult band The Brian Jonestown Massacre sees the video and commissions Browzan over Twitter to direct a music video for ''Pish''' featuring on their 2015 EP: 'mini album thingy wingy'. It garners 600k views worldwide and features on MTV and FIP et al.

2016 - Browzan moves to Berlin. He directs a music documentary featuring Michael Rother (NEU! Kraftwerk, Harmonia) which premieres on Quietus magazine. He directs an installation for Toyota featuring Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil, Fifth Element) which wins a drum content award. The installation captures the Berlin festival of light working in collaboration with award-winning Syrian filmmaker Waref Abu Quba. It plays at London Print Works. 'Body' is nominated for an award in Cologne.

2017 - Moves back to London after being offered work in the advertising world.

2018 - Starts working regularly with Saatchi & Saatchi. Edits commercials for Fiat, Oral B, BAFTA, EE. etc.

2018 - Directs ''Yes'' - an experimental video art film on super 8mm around UK and USA. It screens at the Macro Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome as part of a Wolf Vostell group exhibition. He licenses award-nominated video art piece ''Body'' to the museum.

2021 - He releases his debut poetry collection ''Quest for Ions'', featuring in the Yorkshire Times and available at Waterstones, UK. It receives 5-star reviews from Puschart-nominated reviewers of literature.

2024 - Releases his second poetry collection entitled ''Carpe Delirium'' which finds the shelves of Resident Brighton and Good Press Glasgow.

2024 - Directs a music video for collaborators The KVB (Invada Records) which features in Brooklyn Vegan. It is shot entirely using expired super 8mm film at the Barbican in London. This catches the interest of ''loudest band in New York'' A Place to Bury Strangers - whose music has featured most notably in films such as ''The Canyons'' By Paul Schrader + Bret Easton Ellis. He directs ''You got me'' a horror film shot in Berlin.

2024 - ''Carpe Delirium'', Browzan's second poetry collection is archived in libraries across the UK including the National Library of Scotland, The Bodleian Library Oxford University, National Library of Wales, Cambridge University Library + The Library of Trinity College Dublin. He is invited to sell his poetry at Off Print Paris book fair. It sells out in Paris. One of this poems ''Summertime'' is appreciated by Tom Hardy over Instagram.

2024 - His video for ''You got me'' wins: Best Music Video at Independent Shorts Awards, La. And an honourable mention at Europe Music Video awards. His first awards as director/producer.

2025 - Browzan will publish his third poetry collection, 'Amorphous' completing a trilogy of work.

2025 - Browzan features in the 6th edition of Tide Magazine in Paris - as poet/editor in a bi-annual arts magazine edited by the staff at Yves Saint Lauren. The magazine features in 14 countries worldwide, 350 stores - including museums around Paris such as Palais de Tokyo, MAD Musée des Arts Décoratifs et al. The publication will be available across: London, Paris, LA, NYC, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan (Dolce + Gabbana), Beverly Hills, Amsterdam, Berlin, Canada, San Fransisco, Singapore, Malaysia, Belgium, Tokyo, Bangkok et al. His first major arts publication as a poet.

2025 - He lives and works in London.
