Thomas "Tom" Kennedy comes from Jersey in the Channel Islands. He studied photography, film, television and sound at the Plymouth College of Art and Design between 1992 and 1996. He then went on to work in the London film industry for several years before returning to Jersey.
Tom and his Swiss director/actress wife Annigna Seiler set up production company Little River Pictures in 2009. They are based in Jersey, Channel Islands, UK, and specialise in documentary film and photography.
Little River Pictures was launched to realise their creative ideas and has evolved into a busy little filmmaking and photography company, making films from shorts to feature length documentaries. Their first short film Le Lollipop Magique (2011), was shown at the International Branchage Film Festival in 2011. They have worked in Switzerland, London, New York, South America and Germany.
Documentary films have the potential to move the viewer deeply and encourage reflection upon people's own lives, but also to question societal norms. As artists, they want to be touched by films and hope to inspire other people with their own work.
Tom is in charge of all camera and sound production at Little River Pictures. Alongside his film work Tom continues his work as a creative photographer. He is also a member of local band Benny The Moth.
TK Sound and Vision is a limited company he has owned and run since 2000. It is essentially a media production company and operates under the following four trading names: Tom Kennedy Photography, Little River Pictures, Sunshine Cine Films, and I LVE Sounds.
Tom Kennedy Photography set up in 2000, covers everything from portraiture, documentary, weddings, events, retail, film, video, and journalism.
I LVE Sounds is a small recording label set up in 2001, that is responsible for the making of all tracks by Benny the Moth and the Erogenous Zones. Other members include: Jamie Evans, David Michelle, and Lionel Gomes.
Sunshine Cine Films set up in 2011, consists of authentic Super 8mm cinematography at events, weddings, parties, and other occasions.
