Biography

Tom Wilkin is a UK-based First Assistant Sound Boom Operator with over ten years experience working across feature films, high-end television and commercial productions. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of working alongside some of the industry’s leading Production Sound Mixers, including Simon Hayes, Chris Munro, Gareth John, Nadine Richardson and Stuart Wilson.

Tom’s passion for sound led him to study Music Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) before completing a Master’s (MA) in Sound Design for Film and Television. It was during his studies that he discovered a passion for production sound, combining technical problem-solving with the collaborative nature of film making, and has pursued a career in the industry ever since.
