Carl spent most of his life in the Greater Boston area after growing up in Peabody Massachusetts.

He has been active in local theater for over 25 years and has been cast in a wide variety of roles including The Cowardly lion, Tevya, Christmas Present in "Scrooge The Musical" Captain EJ Smith in Titanic The Musical. Carl was nominated for an E.M.A.C.T. Dash award for best supporting actor in 2011 for his turn as Caiaphas in "Jesus Christ Superstar" with The Pentucket Players.

Carl comes from a very musically talented family; his mother was an accomplished Harpist, Choir director, and Church musician and organist. His father played violin when he was young and has a wonderful bass singing voice. Carl along with his two sisters and brother all grew up playing various instruments and singing. Carl still sings and was in Ireland on a seven city concert tour as part of the Mystic Chorale.

Carl began doing voice-overs while he was the host of "CJ's Odd Mix" a weekly radio music and variety program on WNSH 1570.

Carl began working in film taking everything from background and bit parts to principal roles in several films shot around the Massachusetts and New Hampshire area. His first film experience was a featured comedic bit as a heavy set mechanic dancing with a slice of pizza in "The A Plate". His first major role was being Harry Davis in the independent film "This Killing Business".

Carl now resides in Fremont New Hampshire with his wife Andrea and daughter Laura, 5 cats and an Australian Shepherd who still tries to herd the cats.
