Matteo Balsamo was born in Broni, Italy, in 1977. He began his career as an actor for theater, short and feature films, including 'Cado Dalle Nubi', 'Vallanzasca - Gli Angeli del Male' by Michele Placido, and 'Solo per un weekend' by Gianfranco Gaioni. After specializing in directing, he shot commercials, short films, video clips, web series, and his first docufilm 'In Prima Linea' (On the front line), awarded in Italy and abroad.
