Biography

Russell John Clark

Biography

  • Russell John Clark is a Canadian natural history and documentary Producer-Director specializing in underwater environments. His credits include work as a Producer, Director, Writer, Cinematographer, and Dive Supervisor on wildlife documentary series for CBC, PBS, and Netflix. He was part of the Emmy Award-winning cinematography team on Island of the Sea Wolves, earned a Jackson Wild Award, and has produced acclaimed work for David Attenborough and Disney.

Russell founded the Canadian Underwater Film Network, served as Editor of DIVER magazine for nearly a decade, and is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Originally captivated by the grandeur of Hollywood blockbusters, he later discovered that the most powerful stories - and most epic visuals - are found in the natural world and in the people who inhabit it.
