She spent the main part of her childhood in Paris, other European cities and in Northern Germany. Due to this past she is fluent in German, English, Finnish, Danish and French. Kati Rausch studied Film Science/Screenwriting and Theology at "Carl von Ossietzky" University Oldenburg, Germany, and wrote her thesis about Lars von Trier. After graduating from a drama school in Cologne, she worked as actress in Germany, Finland, the USA, Norway and Switzerland. She also had her own prime-time show on National TV in Finland.
