- Mike is a Freelance storyboardist, artist, writer, copywriter, character creator, comic book and comic strip creator, songwriter/lyricist.
He has a BFA in Graphic Communication/Art Direction from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Mike was also one of 70 students chosen to study storytelling/sequential art at the exclusive Kubert School in Dover, New Jersey.
He has been employed as a Senior Art Director/Copywriter or AD/CW (including concepting, storyboarding, design, photo and TV shoot supervision) for BBDO, Wm. Esty/Saatchi, CME, Bozell, McCann-Erickson, J. Walter Thompson/Team-Detroit, Doner and other agencies.
Mike has contributed storyboards and art for short films/features from Monkey Knuckle Films/Elder Island LLC, Lost Colony Entertainment/Verge Films, AMDRAM and Famous Monsters Music. He's also contributed art, copywriting and/or branding/ad concepts for top ad agencies including: BBDO, Doner, McCann-Erickson, J. Walter Thompson/Team Detroit, Hart Assoc., SMZ, Curve-Detroit, MMB-Boston, FrontRoom (UK), et al. His art and comic-book work has been published by IDW, Aardwolf, BlindWolf Studios, F&W/Krause Publications, Schism Comics and others.
Mike's creations include Bru-Hed(TM), "America's Favorite Blockhead," (including the "Bru's Reviews" film-review blog at WednesdaysHeroes.com), Nasti: Monster Hunter and the weekly Facebook webcomic, Game BUZZ! (the first and longest-running webcomic devoted to a single sport or team).
