Biography

Orlando Braun is an award winning Canadian film and television producer who's films have played at numerous festivals around the globe and have garnered dozens of awards. In his diverse portfolio, he has worked in virtually every genre including documentary, Factual, drama, comedy, sitcom, horror, True Crime, Food series, children's animation, and faith projects in Features, Shorts, and Series.

Orlando entered into the industry through education; he received his Bachelor of Arts in Film at the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Fine Arts in Producing from the New York Film Academy in Universal Studios, California. Orlando was then selected for the Telefilm Canada Producers Mentorship in 2012 through the CMPA, and is an alum of the National Screen Institute [NSI] Business for Producers program.

In addition, Orlando has worked in New York and Los Angeles with industry professionals such as Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Film, Manage-Ment (Garden State), Platinum Studios (Cowboys & Aliens) and Film Independent (Spirit Awards, LA Film Festival). His work in scripted feature films, documentaries and factual series have aired on broadcasters such as CBC, Bravo, Bell Media, TUBI, CBC's DocZone, The Nature of Things, PBS, Smithsonian Channel, OLN, TVO, SBS, Discovery ID, Escape, SKY, Yes TV, Shine, and more.
