Biography

Faisal Hashmi is an award-winning independent filmmaker based in Dubai with more than a decade of writing and directing short films. He's been fascinated with the horror and thriller genre and has become a pioneer of genre filmmaking in the region with his short films 'Wicken', 'Sleight' and 'Amber' playing at more than 50 horror film festivals across US, Europe, and Asia with multiple award wins.

Currently, he's working on multiple boundary-pushing genre feature films to shoot next year both locally and with international producers for a global audience.
