Christopher Ambriz is an award-winning independent filmmaker based in Corpus Christi, Texas. Since founding Night Creature Productions with Louis Alvarado in 1998, Ambriz has produced a wide range of projects, including documentaries, commercials, music videos, and feature films.
His filmography includes Dark Blood (2000), Faceless (2001), One Dark Night (2007), Pen (2011), El Cucuy (2012), The Night Before (2014), The Date: A Tale of Love, Horror and Revenge (2016), Muerte: Tales of Horror (2018), Nosebleed (2023) and the upcoming horror film Evil Inheritance (2026).
A lifelong fan of horror and sci-fi cinema from the 1970s and '80s, Ambriz began making short horror films at age 13 with his friends and family. A self-taught special make-up effects artist, he honed his craft through classic resources like Fangoria magazine and Tom Savini's Grand Illusions books.
In addition to his filmmaking career, Ambriz serves as Video Production Coordinator at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and is a former Professional Photojournalist for KIII-TV3, the local ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi. His deep passion for storytelling and genre filmmaking continues to drive his creative work in both independent cinema and visual media.
