Catherine Israel is an Actrice, a Casting Director and a Director. Known for Oscar and the lady in pink (2007) , Control X (2012) "Phoenix" (2026) , a tv show of Frank Brett and "Si tu penses bien "(to come) of Géraldine Nakache and for her castings for Misha and the wolves of Sam Hobkinson, Faussaires, a tv-show of Arte (2025) of Eva Husson, Stuck Together of Dany Boon, Oradour, ne m'oublie pas of Pierre Aknine (2025), The new adventures of Aladdin of Arthur Benzaquen, La minute vieille of Fabrice Marucca, Marée Haute of Noah Choukrallah, Don't tell her of Solange Cicurel, ... She wrote and directed her first short film, Silent Girl, in 2024, which was acquired by Rtbf. It is still available on Rtbf - Auvio and has won numerous awards, including Best Director (Female) at Berlin Indies Shorts, Best Narrative in Montreal, and Best Actress in Brooklyn and Paris... Her professional life is divided between casting work (as a casting director or actress on film projects other than those she casts herself), improvisation and on-camera acting classes for ages 7 to 77, and future writing and directing projects.
