Sugar Dunkerton

African-American professional wrestler from Augusta, Georgia. Started in the Georgia independent scene first under the name Carl Wilson then as Kareem Abdul Jamar (based off of pro basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). He won his first title, the GCW (Great Championship Wrestling in Alabama) Tag Team Title with John Bogie on September 4, 2008. He and Bo Newsom won the APW (Alternative Pro Wrestling in Royston, Georgia) Tag Team Titles on May 1, 2009. He debuted in CHIKARA as Sugar Dunkerton, a wrestling basketball player, at "CHIKARA An Optimistic View of a Pessimistic World" on October 17, 2009, where he and Dasher Hatfield, a wrestling baseball player, lost to the Osirian Portal (Amasis (Desean Pratt) and Ophidian) in a four-way match also involving the Young Bucks (Matt (Matt Massie) and Nick Jackson (Nick Massie)) and Team F.I.S.T. (Icarus (Ronald Grams) and Chuck Taylor (Dustin Howard)). The following night, at "CHIKARA Cibernetico Increible," the Hatfield/Dunkerton team was officially named the Throwbacks, and they defeated Los Ice Creams (Ice Cream Jr. and El Hijo del Ice Cream). Wilson also wrestled for AIW, Full Impact Pro, Rampage Pro Wrestling (Georgia), Wrecking Ball Wrestling (Texas), Irish Whip Wrestling (Ireland), NWA Force One (New Jersey), Dragon Gate USA, EVOLVE, Beyond Wrestling and others, sometimes reverting to the Kareem Abdul-Jamar name in Georgia. In 2012, evil incompetent Director of Fun switched Dunkerton from the Throwbacks to Team F.I.S.T. as part of his "Chikarabermetrics" nonsense. This led to Dunkerton quitting CHIKARA after losing to former Team F.I.S.T. member Gran Akuma (Edward Jones) by disqualification at "CHIKARA The Ghost of You Clings..." on May 4, 2013. He continues to wrestle for a variety of promotions today. He is also a former RPW (Rampage Pro Wrestling) Tag Team Champion as Suge D with Aaron Epic as Lock Up, a former RPW Heavyweight Champion and a former SSW (Strong Style Wrestling in Indiana) Champion.
