Biography

David Goldblum is Head of Impact at Moving Picture Institute, where he leads the design and execution of impact strategies that expand the cultural, educational, and policy reach of the organization’s film slate across documentaries, narrative features, and short-form content.

He is also the founder of Conscious Contact Entertainment, a multi-platform entertainment studio dedicated to producing stories with global impact. His producing credits include Sell/Buy/Date (Executive Produced by Meryl Streep), Grassland (Executive Produced by Common), Thirstygirl (Sundance Film Festival 2024), Uvalde Mom (SXSW 2025), Big Rock Burning (Executive Produced by Mark Hamill and Ricki Lake), and the upcoming documentary Fly: Spud Webb.

David has collaborated with leading entertainment companies including Village Roadshow Pictures, Participant Media, and Sony Pictures Television, and has worked closely with producer Paula Wagner. He holds an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA, where he was a recipient of the UCLA/Participant Media Fellowship. He is a Telluride Film Festival FilmLab Fellow, a recipient of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Fellowship, and he was nominated for the Humanitas Prize in Drama. A sought-after speaker, he has presented at the United Nations, Prevent Child Abuse America National Conference, and other global forums.
