Biography

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Livia Gomes Demarchi was the sole artist in her family. She began her dramatic studies at the traditional Macunaíma School of Theater in São Paulo before moving to the United States after High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theater from the prestigious UC Berkeley. She further honed her craft with classical intensives at the Tony Award-winning American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.). Livia built a highly successful stage career in Northern California, performing with leading companies like TheatreWorks, American Conservatory Theater and the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. On screen, she starred as the lead in the feature film Dead in Love (Amazon Prime) and has worked on numerous projects across the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Fully bilingual in English and Portuguese (with Spanish as a close third) Livia is a member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and is SAG-AFTRA eligible (SAG-e). Dividing her time between San Francisco, Los Angeles, and São Paulo, she brings an international quality while remaining true to her Brazilian roots.
