Shannon Joy Rodgers is an Emmy award winning writer from Austin, TX and performer who has written for Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen DeGeneres. On the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Shannon created a recurring segment called Shannon on the Beat, where she would take uncommon news stories and turn them into quirky music videos.
Under her comedic musical persona NJOY, she performs comedy rap (and a little country and R&B). Shannon has been featured on Conan, The Modern Family, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jeselnik Offensive, Review, Dropout (College Humor), Funny or Die, Birthday Boys and Adam Ruins Everything.
She was also a Professional Rollerblader and was recently featured in the Vice Sports Documentary "Who Killed Rollerblading?" Her skating can be seen on Fuel TV, Fox Sports Net, as well has various national and international video series and magazines.
