Biography

Jennifer Boyd is founder of Boyd Productions,LLC, a documentary production company that prides itself on creating films that spark curiosity, connectivity and societal change. Her multilingual, female-led team has more than 20 years of experience in filmmaking, music television and journalism.

Jennifer has produced and directed 25 documentaries on topics ranging from climate change to gun control. Nine of those films have won EMMY awards. Recent projects include "3 Seconds Behind the Wheel," which Good Morning America called "groundbreaking." The film used in-car cameras and tracking technology to monitor the often-hidden behavior of distracted drivers. MIT, Google, and the University of Connecticut assisted with the project. The project is distributed through PBS International, APT and Amazon Prime Video.

In 2020, Jennifer is Executive Producing and Directing a 5-part series on the history of Las Vegas, a documentary on the massive international movement to turn public streets into safe spaces for all (called "The Street Project"), and a new surround sound film on the history of Mesa Verde National Park.

From 2008-2016, Jennifer created, executive produced and series produced two national public television music series, Infinity Hall Live and The Kate. She has produced over 40 shows for these series with major artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Tori Amos, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jane Lynch, Rita Wilson, Darlene Love, Ann Wilson (Heart), Rickie Lee Jones, the Revivalists and many more. Both shows have been written about in Rolling Stone Magazine, People Magazine.com, USA Today, the New York Times and numerous other publications.

In addition, over the past decade she has partnered with NASA, Caltech, Argonne National Laboratory, the Department of Energy, ESnet, Internet2 and others to tell stories about how big data and high-performance computing are changing lives.
