Julian Taro Hitomi was born on July 15th, 1990. He grew up in Berlin, Germany, where he still lives today. He is the son of the German-Japanese writer/actress Akiko Hitomi and the German cinematographer Michael Wiesweg. After working in the light department early on in his career, he eventually became a highly respected camera assistant.
