She is of Mexican (from her paternal grandfather), English, Irish, French, Swiss-French, German, and Welsh descent.

On "The Goldbergs" creator Adam Goldberg: He is - and I think he would be fine with me admitting this - just a genuine nerd! He's got floor-to-ceiling shelves all over his office that are filled with '80s-related movies, toys, action figures, puzzles, books. I mean, he's obsessed with the '80s, and obsessed with a lot of those characters and movies that he grew up loving and watching. And that's why, I think, the show is so authentically '80s is he's so dedicated to making it that way. And being true to that era, and all that it is - even down to the very specific details.
