Biography

Nicola Larini was born on March 19, 1964 in Camaiore, Italy.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Coloni (1987 (1 GP)), Osella (1988 (10 GPs)-1989 (8 GPs)), Ligier (1990 (16 GPs)), Modena (1991 (5 GPs)), Ferrari (1992 (2 GPs), 1994 (2 GPs)) and Sauber (1997 (5 GPs)). He started 49 Grands Prix, 1 Podium and 7 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 14th in 1994.

Teammates in Formula One were: Piercarlo Ghinzani, Philippe Alliot, Eric van de Poele, Jean Alesi, Gerhard Berger and Johnny Herbert.

Nicola Larini finished 2nd place in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, which was his first points-scoring finish and only podium in Formula 1, but the achievement was entirely overshadowed by the fatal accidents of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna during the same race weekend.

Champion: Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (1993), Italian Super Touring Car Championship (1992), Formula 3 Italian (1989).

Winner: 24 Hours of the Nürburgring - E1 XP (2012).
