Biography

Dolann is proud of her multi cultural and bi-coastal roots. Through her expertise and accomplishments as an actress, Dolann has discovered equal success as an acting coach and educator.

Her passion lies in mentoring and sharing her love of performing with "up and coming" actors, teaching them how to effectively communicate in a scene, and on a set. Specifically, to re-channel nervous energy into positive "juju", she uses her training in 'The Method', based on the Stanislavski system, to create authentic and grounded characters.

Dolann's experiences traveling the world and her love of exploring also enrich her teaching mission and confirm...one must live life in order to breathe life into new characters.

Her ability to connect with fellow creatives has also afforded her diverse, and interesting collaborations, which she brings to her performance, workshops and summer institutes she helps implement.

Leaning into her Latin roots, Dolann can be found on the dance floor celebrating her love of Salsa dancing. When she is not dancing, her love of running takes her out exploring. Always one to find resources wherever she goes, she has never met a flight of stairs or an open space that doesn't become an opportunity to move, run and let her energy take flight!
