Biography

While in graduate school at the University of Southern California, Kevin interviewed several prestigious Hollywood USC alumni for his final paper - Nancy Juvonen, Mark Wolper, Ian Sander, Damon Lee, Ed Saxon, Michelle Manning, and Trevor Engleson. He also interviewed the executive director of the Screen Actors Guild, David White.

Kevin's parents went to high school with Dolly Parton.

While on an audition with Francis Ford Coppola in 2016, Kevin joked with Francis that Kevin knew he was meant to be in Southern California in 2009 when Kevin heard the theme song of one of Coppola's protégé's movies. Francis asked "Which protégé is that?" Kevin laughed and said "George Lucas, the band was playing the theme song of Star Wars for his new building when I was on the USC campus." Francis laughed and said that he tried to get Lucas to give money to UCLA, but Lucas declined because UCLA is a public school.

Kevin's first acting instructor in Los Angeles was the casting director for his favorite childhood TV show Melissa Skoff from the "Dukes of Hazzard".

During his call back audition from Francis Ford Coppola and Fred Roos, Kevin Kugley received hands on direction from Francis Ford Coppola for his project "Distant Vision".
