Biography

Hollywood educated at Universal Studios film producer and writer-director.

Alexander N was born in St. Petersburg in a family of a teacher and an engineer. At age of 7, he started writing stories and playing music. Though his first education was in the IT field, he dedicated his life to the cinema. In childhood, he, his mother, and his sister spend days in a film development room. Alexander started to shoot his own moving pictures with early handy cameras (long before the era of Instagrams, DHLRs, and cameras-built-in-everything).

In 2010 he received a grant from producer/director Brett Ratner and started his film education at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles where his course project "Bright Dark Black" went to Cannes Film Festival 2011, "Court Métrage" program. In Los Angeles, he spent 2,5 years studying, practicing, and working in the Hollywood industry.

Two events made Alexander to choose cinema for his life. First is 1994, the moment Steven Spielberg receives an Oscar for his "Schindler's List" (1993), Steven's appearance at the stage and the audience appreciation. Second is 2003, Bernardo Bertolucci's masterpiece "The Dreamers".
