Biography

Ali Wong was born on April 19, 1982 in San Francisco, California, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for Ali Wong: Baby Cobra (2016), Always Be My Maybe (2019) and Beef (2023). She was previously married to Justin Hakuta.

Her father, an anesthesiologist, was Chinese-American. Her mother was born and raised in Huw, Vietnam.

Majored in Asian American Studies at UCLA.

Is the youngest of four children. Her three siblings are "10 to 15 years" older than her.

Mother, with estranged husband Justin Hakuta, of daughters Mari Hakuta and Nikki Hakuta.

Even though I am half-Vietnamese, I never grew up with any Vietnamese culture. Our house was always filled with Chinese art, Chinese food, Chinese people, Chinese music, and the idea that the Lunar New Year equaled Chinese New Year's. My father was and still is a Chinese superiorist.
