YG and his mother, Shonee, founded the non-profit, 4Hundred Waze, whose mission is to enhance the lives of disadvantaged youth who are a part of the foster care/group home system.
YG is an active gang member of Tree Top Piru which is a subset of the Bloods based in Compton, California.
