Federico Conforti is an Italian-American film and television editor based in Los Angeles.
Born and raised in Livorno, Tuscany, he developed a passion for storytelling through theater before studying Cinema, Music & Theater at the University of Pisa. He trained at post houses in Rome before relocating to Los Angeles, where he has built a career spanning feature films, documentaries, scripted series, and branded content.
He is best known internationally for LO CHIAMAVANO JEEG ROBOT (THEY CALL ME JEEG), a cult phenomenon that received 16 David di Donatello nominations and won 7, including Best Editing.
His work has earned recognition across major festivals and award bodies worldwide. The Emmy-nominated and Webby Award-winning series ALMOST FAMOUS (New York Times Op-Docs) and THAT'S MY JAZZ (Breakwater Studios), which received a James Beard Award and the 2020 Webby Award for Best Editing, are among his most celebrated projects. BLOOD RIDER (Google) won the 2021 Webby Award for Best Branded Documentary, and DEFYING GRAVITY (All3 Media/Google) received a 2021 Sports Emmy nomination for Outstanding Edited Sports Series.
The feature documentary VIVA VERDI!, about life in a retirement home for opera musicians, is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 2026 Oscars.
Episodic credits include the sci-fi anthology DIMENSION 404 (Lionsgate/Hulu), ULTIMATE BEASTMASTER (Netflix), and the crime drama THE OATH (Sony).
