- Alex Gilbert is a Russian-born, New Zealand-based documentary series producer, writer, and media presenter, with a focus on adoption.
In 2015, he founded I'm Adopted, a support network for adoptees. Alex has been recognised for his work in adoption, earning nominations for several awards, including Young New Zealander of the Year in 2018 and New Zealander of the Year in 2020.
He regularly shares his own adoption story through his YouTube channel, where he also publishes his An Adoption Story documentary series, featuring the stories of other adoptees.
