Kate was born in Denver, Colorado to Robert and Ann Herrell, both
teachers. She graduated from Douglas County High School in 2008 and
attended the University of Northern Colorado for two years as an acting
major. In 2010, Kate transferred to the University of Colorado Denver
to major in theatre, film and video production. Kate has received Irene
Ryan nominations for her performance as Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town (2010)
and Virginia Noyes in It's Only a Play (2011). Kate has one younger
brother, Ross.
