Biography

Pedro Bastos was born in 1980 in Guimarães, Portugal . It's a plastic artist and filmmaker. His first experimental film, "To The Wolf Of Madragoa ", is dedicated to the satirical poet of the eighteenth century António Lobo de Carvalho and premiered at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in 2013 . In 2015 was selected as artist to participate in the JCE - Jeune Création Européenne , Biennale d' Art Contemporain 2015/17 . Also works as a scriptwriter, having written among other films, "Carosello" Jorge Quintela ( Grand Prize " Cidade Vila do Conde" Curtas - International Film Festival 2013) ; is co-writer of the short film " Soot " by David Doutel & Vasco Sá (Grand Prix Cinanima - International Animation Film Festival of Espinho, Portugal 2014) and the feature film " Ornament & Crime " by Rodrigo Areias ( Honorable Mention at the Festival Luso-Brasileiro de Santa Maria da Feira 2015)
