Biography

Amy Tsang is a trilingual Chinese American actress known for her enigmatic presence and emotionally layered performances.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised between the United States and Hong Kong, Tsang brings a global perspective to her work. She later attended Tsinghua University in Beijing, where she studied Fine Art before leaving to pursue acting after discovering a passion for screen storytelling through international cinema.

Tsang recurs as Ensign Rane, an "Acolyte" witch, in Disney+’s Star Wars: The Acolyte, and appeared in the Season 2 finale of The CW’s Kung Fu.

She began her career in Hong Kong after placing in the Top 5 of the 2006 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, which led to a contract with Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). Over the next five years, she built an extensive body of work with more than eighty film and television credits, spanning both dramatic and comedic roles across popular TVB and HKTV series.

Based in Los Angeles, Tsang has since expanded into the U.S. market with starring roles in the award-winning feature films Silent River-for which she received a Best Actress nomination at the Next Generation Indie Film Awards-and Love Shot, both distributed by Gravitas Ventures. Her television credits include S.W.A.T., Magnum P.I., Grey’s Anatomy, Lucifer, and Shameless.
