Biography

Kelly Patton

Mini bio

  • Kelly Cameron was born in Anchorage, Alaska to accountant Mark Cameron and homemaker Jane (Swetnam) Cameron. She and her older sister, Crystal (Cameron) King, began singing together at 3 and 4 years old, first in church and then in competitive choirs. When Kelly was 9, her sister was signed up for a summer acting camp and Kelly begged to join in. She and her sister did theater and performed church dramatics through the rest of their education. At 16, Kelly began her commercial acting career with several local television spots. The summer after graduating high school, Kelly traveled to Scotland to perform with a local troupe in the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, then booked a lead role in a touring theater group, staying in Scotland for 8 months. She enrolled in Asbury College and as a freshman took the female lead as Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac. She transferred to the University of Alaska, Anchorage to finish her degrees and was very active in the theatre department, garnering lead roles in every production she participated in. For the years leading up to her move to Texas, Kelly was a television/radio spokesperson for a local furniture company and from 2005-2006 was the lead female entertainer of the legendary Fly By Night Club with Mr. Whitekeys. At Sarah Palin's inaugural ball in 2006, Kelly was the first to perform a musical parody as Palin with Whitekeys.

Kelly resides in Austin, TX with her husband and three children -Wilder, Waverley and Tennyson Patton- where she's an active force in the commercial acting industry. She is known for her role alongside her son in Jen Kirkman's Comedy Special "I'm Gonna Die Alone and I Feel Fine," as Aubrey in "Beyond The Darkness," and Susan in "Mother's Day."
