Biography

Don Seferi (born Liridon Rashiti) is an Albanian-Canadian actor whose work is defined by restraint, intensity, and a commitment to psychological realism. Born in Kosovo, he immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of seven in the aftermath of the Kosovo War. Arriving without speaking English or French, he adapted to a new country at a formative age, navigating cultural and linguistic barriers without institutional support or industry access.

His entry into filmmaking was self-driven. At 16, Seferi wrote, produced, and starred in his first independent feature, Refuge, independently organizing a sold-out premiere. The project marked the foundation of his career, leading to professional representation and his transition into television and film.

Seferi has since built a body of work across Quebec’s film and television landscape, with performances in series including À Cœur Battant alongside Roy Dupuis, Doute Raisonnable with Marc-André Grondin, and Blue Moon with Karine Vanasse. His work includes leading roles in films recognized at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Prix Jutra, the Canadian Screen Awards, and the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival.

Working across multiple languages and cultural contexts, Seferi brings a controlled, internalized approach to performance, often exploring themes of identity, displacement, and inherited memory. His work favors precision over exposition, allowing tension and emotion to emerge through silence, physicality, and presence.
