Her unwavering dedication and passion to the craft has seen her work her way up the ranks from loader to award winning DOP. Gaopie believes in using her creative ability to illustrate a story with the depth and originality that brings a script to life, the power of strong collaborations and telling good narrative through strong imagery, in spending time finding and defining visual choices and structures, one can support a narrative visually in ways that help to elevate the story and the director's vision. Gaopie has an unwavering positive outlook who enjoys collaboration, working alongside like minded people who respect the art and craft of good story telling. Born and raised in South Africa, based in Johannesburg, Gaopie is destined for success.
