Mini bio

  • Kelley Jakle is an actress and singer/songwriter from Sacramento, CA.

As the only girl in a family with two older brothers, Kelley held her own playing competitive soccer, basketball and swimming. However, it was acting and singing that eventually consumed her interest, beginning with The Sacramento Children's Chorus. She soon started singing the National Anthem at swim meets and local conferences, which led to performances for the Sacramento River Cats and the NBA's Sacramento Kings. After competing against hundreds of contestants, Kelley was selected to sing for the San Francisco 49ers when she was 16 years old.

In high school, Kelley starred in stage productions that varied from satirical comedies such as Urinetown (as Hope Cladwell) and The Princess Bride (as Princess Buttercup), to works like The Laramie Project (as Catherine Connolly). During her junior year Kelley produced her first solo EP containing five original songs followed by an EP with her band, By the Way.

After founding her high school a cappella group, Kelley attended the University of Southern California and joined the SoCal VoCals - USC's premiere a cappella group. The VoCals won the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella in New York City twice during her time in the group. She also competed on two seasons of NBC's "The Sing-Off" during that time.

Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude, she joined the cast of Universal's "Pitch Perfect" as Barden Bella Jessica; a role she reprised throughout the franchise. Her most recent films include Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut "Woman of the Hour" (Netflix), "Parachute" (Yale Prod), "A Gettysburg Christmas" opposite Lee Majors and "Premarital" opposite Jim O'Heir.

As a singer, Jakle has performed live all over the country at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and has continued singing National Anthems for The LA Rams, Dodgers, and the World Snow Polo Championships. She released the EP "Here and There" with her band Robin Alice in 2019, and two of her original songs were recently featured in the Netflix drama, "Walk. Ride. Rodeo." She will release her solo album titled "Metanoia" later this year.
