Biography

Adrian Bobb

Biography

  • Adrian Bobb is an award-winning writer and director based in Toronto, Canada, whose work explores the complex interplay between the beautiful and brutal aspects of nature, time, and humanity.

Adrian's 8 short films have been shown in over 50 festivals worldwide, including Sitges Film Festival, Fantasia Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Reelworld Film Festival, Urbanworld Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival, Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Bushwick Film Festival, and Hollyshorts International Film Festival. In 2024, he directed two episodes of the Hollywood Suite hit series, Creepy Bits ("The Massacurra Man", and "Below")

Adrian holds a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Regina (2008), and is also an alumnus of Reelworld's E20 from 2019, the competitive Netflix-BANFF 'Diversity of Voices' Pitch Program in 2021, WarnerMedia's Access Canada Cohort in 2021, BITS Film Festival's Development Horror Lab in 2021, BIPOC TV & Film's Showrunner Bootcamp in 2022, OYA Media's Scale Up Immersive Lab in 2022, and Warren P. Sonada's Director's Masterclass in 2023.

Before working as a writer/director, Adrian worked for 15 years in the Videogame/Film/TV industry as a VFX Artist taking on almost every position from storyboard artist on TV series such as The History Channel's "The Re-Inventors", and "Crime Stories," to Concept Artist and Digital Matte Painter for videogame companies such as Ubisoft and Digital Dimension, to 3D modeler for companies such as Jam Filled, Mr. X, and MARZ to name a few.

His award-winning 2022 short film "The Fore-men" is currently in development as a feature and is now on the DUST network with over 630K+ views.

With a passion for all things biology, astrophysics, technology, and anthropology, Adrian's stories focus on the incomprehensible density of the real world and our noble yet futile attempts to comprehend it, regardless.
