Rachael's film and TV work includes playing opposite Sam Worthington (Avatar) as an Egyptian in the TV Mini Series 'Deadline Gallipoli', produced by NBC Universal, directed by Michael Rymer (NBC's Hannibal). Played opposite Ryan Kwantan (True Blood) and Kodi Smit-Mcphee ( X-Men) as a Cyber Security Officer in the Futuristic Feature Film "2067" as a determined sassy Cyber SWAT Security Officer and as a sassy USA Military Officer in Matthew Lillard's (The Bridge) Directing debt 'Come Home Soon' which she won the Vancouver Film Festival Emotional Acting Award to name a few.
On the Stage she was nominated for the 'Walk of Fame' at the Adelaide Festival Centre for her theatre performances in Harold Pinter's 'Old Times', as the lead of the 'posh, English' Anna played previously by Kristin Scott- Thomas and in William Mastrosimone's 'Extremities' as the 'feisty, sassy American' lead of Marjorie, previously played by Farrah Fawcett and Susan Sarandon. She's trained full time at some of the world's leading institutions - The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Vancouver Film School (VFS) and The Flinders University of South Australia. Worked with some of the best Master teachers - Celebrity acting coach Joseph Perlman, Celebrity Accent and voice coach Bob Corff, Renowned Australian Theatre Director Ian Sinclair (STC), Master Acting teacher Tony Knight (NIDA), BAFTA winner and leading improvisational teacher Michael Robinson, Vancouver Master teacher - Andrew McIlory, AIDA's Paul Parker, NIDA's Lyn Pierce, Jennifer Haagan to name a few. She has a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Hons) an Advanced Diploma in Acting for Film and Television and a Bachelor of Commerce / Law.
Rachael has trained in Ballet under the Royal Academy of Ballet School System and studied music -keyboards and Saxophone under the Yamaha Music school System, both for for 10 years, learned English saddle horse riding, trained in Martial Arts - Muay Thai Kickboxing, Zen Do Kai with some Judo, was a State youth SAPSASA Tennis competitor and has been alpine snow skiing regularly since she was 4 years old . Does dance, Pilates, lap swimming, strength and cross fit training regularly balanced with yoga, meditation and energy work for grounding and balance.
Rachael was a resident actress and producer for Slixer Entertainment Canada in their Murder Mystery theater shows for over 120 performances. Which were both a mixture of scripted and Improvised performances.
Rachael was named a 'One to Watch' winner by the Screen Producers Australia which is a prestigious industry vetted acknowledgment opening Rachael to connect with Industry production houses, and film and TV Networks as part of a career accelerator program as well as winning a place as a "Screen Siren" career accelerator program with the South Australian Film Corporation . She has been mentored by the CEO of Fremantlemedia Australia - Chris Oliver- Taylor, and Michelle Krumm (VP of Archlight and past VP of MIRAMAX ) as part of these programs.
The 2010 Canadian Web Series "For Your Security" of which she was a consulting producer was nominated for a Leo Award.
Rachael was awarded one of the last Australian Broadcasting Corporation's 12 month youth Cadetship on the TV show 'Recovery' to learn in front and behind camera roles and duties whilst also creating segment content for the show in front and behind the camera. Which she undertook in her Gap Year whilst making the Hip Hop Documentary Contents Under Pressure featuring HIp Hop Masters RUN DMC and Aria Winning group The Hilltop Hoods - whom she co managed for a few years whilst at University.
She has worked with the Canadian Cable Giant SHAW NETWORK where she handled US and Canadian TV and film content and was awarded a place in their TV Studio and content creation training program .
From her international heritage hails a curiosity and love of the world's, history, art, culture and enjoying traveling experiences. From snorkeling the Australian Great Barrier Reef, Touring castles and museums of Europe, Drinking champagne at Wagner's 4 Day Ring Cycle Opera, cheering with beer at the Stanley Cup Ice Hockey Finals in Vancouver or the Australian Open to drinking mint tea with the Blue People of the Sahara Desert. Rachael can adapt to her environment and build connection. An active heroine, Rachael has Snow skied since she was four and has a love of the Alps for outdoor fun , to skiing Whistler Canada or Runyon Canyon hikes in Los Angeles. She has a love of fitness and nature attending Muay Thai, Yoga , Meditation and spiritual retreats or boot camps.
