Streaming Stars, Then and Now

D.J. (David James Xander Devereux) was Born in the North-East of England in Newcastle Upon Tyne. D.J. Started out as a Projectionist at the Picturedrome Cinema in Bognor Regis, Then became the Chief Projectionist at the ABC Cinema In Butlins, Bognor Regis. After discovering a Old VHS Camera in the projection booth he was working in, He took that camera and began to make a bunch of short films.

As a writer/director D.J. has achieved a cult status for his "Genre" short films, His film Starlet won a award in Texas and achieved acclaim by Fangoria Magazine who reviewed his film as "Stylish, Surreal, Sinister, Ambiguous and unsettling".

Devereux got his break in Advertising in 2013 when he became a Commercial Director for Povey and directed National Campaigns for Percol Coffee, Kopiko Sweets Co. & Bear Snack Food. The Advertising Agency went into liquidation and Devereux went back to freelancing within the film industry.

D.J. Devereux is also a Freelance Film Journalist for Clash Magazine in Boston, Massachusetts and also Delirium Magazine in Canada. Devereux also is a freelance Minimalist illustrator, and regularly makes minimalist versions of movie posters, His contributions can be seen for AMER (2009) and ROOM 237 (2012).

He lives in the South Coast of England, whilst freelancing on various film productions.

Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne on the same street where Ridley &amp; Tony Scott grew up.

Is an avid minimal artist and has been featured in Total Film for his minimal versions of famous movie posters.

He is from Newcastle Upon Tyne, But is half Swiss French, with Irish and Jewish blood in his background.

His Cousin was the late Sean Devereux, an aid worker who was murdered in Kismayo, Somalia in 1993 while working for UNICEF. Sean Devereux was one of the last men to be declared a Saint by the Vatican.
