Rachel Joy Mazza hosted a live Tiger and exotic animal show at Jungle Island in Miami while part of an exotic animal training apprenticeship. The apprentices lived on a private reserve with the animals, and often baby tigers would play in the living room while they watched television at night.

Two people were actually murdered in the room where Rachel Joy Mazza filmed Herbivore Productions' short horror film, Vivienne. The cast and crew said they constantly got goosebumps and felt like someone else was in the room while shooting.

She was originally cast as a professional female poker player named Jasmin in Café Kremlin. During the first day of shooting, there was a problem with the camera lens and none of the 9 hours of footage could be used. Instead of re-shooting the scene, the writers wrote in the part of Bank's sister, Lisa. You can still see Rachel Joy Mazza as Jasmin in the background of the poker scene at The Brook.
