Jessica Mary Robinson has an affinity with the storytelling process,
from pre through to post production. She is constantly honing her
directing, writing and producing skills to one day (in the not too
distant future) fulfill a dream of writing and directing a TV Series or
full length feature film. With this in mind, she has been acquiring
skills and experiences to achieve this outcome through tertiary study
and courses (New York Film Academy, University of Technology Sydney &
National Institute of Dramatic Arts, Sydney); job experiences; and
personal experiences, especially traveling.
She has written, directed and produced 11 short films and crewed on over 40 more projects during the past 18 months, declaring, "I live and breathe filmmaking! Storytelling and movie making are my passions and I want to ensure I continue to do this the rest of my life!"
At University she majored in Advertising - "I have always been fascinated by the influence achieved in such a condensed format of image and language." In her past jobs as an Optus Marketing Graduate and Hybrid TV/TiVo Marketing Executive, she has been involved with many project teams including: producing TV commercials, writing and creating advertising and sponsored content for So You Think You Can Dance and Hamish & Andy; event management for Cirque Du Soleil Dralion; and Pink's Australian Funhouse Tour. She has worked with agencies such as M&C Saatchi, MPG, Jack Morton, Football Federation Australia & Waterfront.
She has a strong work ethic, is a self starter, and is always keen to take the initiative. Her keen interest in the wider marketing and media industry was recognised by B&T Magazine who interviewed her for an article about under 25s working in the media industry in 2009. She injects innovative thinking to all tasks and infectiously inspires a team in either a leadership or support role.
