Biography

Klári Tolnai is a professional Film and Theatre actress, based in Budapest, Hungary. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Asti International Film Festival for her performance in Stifled. (2021) Klári also co-wrote of 'Stifled' which nominated for Best Short Film at Oscar-Qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival. (2022) She played Tabitha in Shadow and Bone (2021), Ruth in The Alienist (2018) however, the act that brought her widespread attention was her role in the Netflix series, The Last Kingdom (2017-2022), where she played Sidgeflead, Sihtric's wife.

Alongside her acting career, Klári is developing her own music project under the artist name Sorine. In 2026, she began working on her first album of original material, featuring deeply personal songs written and performed by herself. She has been writing songs, poetry, and screenplays since childhood, and now feels ready to share this side of her creative world with a wider audience. Her songs have a diary-like, poetic quality, offering an intimate glimpse into her inner world. She says writing is therapy for her, a way of processing and transforming her experiences. A highly visual artist, she often sees the imagery and cinematic world of a song in her mind as she writes it.
