- Gerald Yelverton is a screenwriter and television professional currently working as a Showrunner’s Assistant with Sony Pictures Television on Season 3 of the action-comedy series Twisted Metal.
As a writer, Gerald specializes in character-driven comedies built around high-concept premises that explore relationships, identity, and emotional growth. He is the writer of the feature films Awesome Movie and Little Bro, and the short film Heavy. His sketch comedy work has been performed with the house team Bonus Feature at The Pack Theater, as well as at Upright Citizens Brigade and The Clubhouse in Los Angeles.
In addition to writing, Gerald has a background in performance and acting, with appearances in the feature films Turning Point, Awesome Movie, Blood Lodge, Our Secrets, and The Watchers. He was also a longtime host of The Unique Game Show and performed with Radio Disney. Gerald holds a BA in Digital Cinema from Nevada State College and an MFA in Television, Film and Theater Writing from California State University, Los Angeles, where he later taught undergraduate screenwriting courses. He studied sketch writing at Upright Citizens Brigade and improv at The Groundlings.
