Biography

Charlton Jacques founded Foresight Entertainment with the goal of excellence, innovation, and artistic and commercial distinction.

His love of acting drove him to enroll at Yaphat-toar Dramatic Academy in the Bahamas to pursue acting studies following high school. It was during this time that he discovered his natural talent for directing, taking the helm for two stage plays. After the academy, Charlton received a scholarship to the Toronto Media and Film College in Canada to study film production.

After studying cinema and film production in Toronto, Charlton took his ambition and experience to Vancouver where he opened the doors of Foresight Entertainment, Inc., serving as its president and executive producer. This independent film label is responsible for producing effective and influential genre works such as the critically-acclaimed festival short "Friends in Dark Places" and the dynamic, chilling sci-fi horror feature "Nocturne Six", which took the international market by storm with its release in 2014.

Charlton Jacob Jacques is a Director and Producer with a lifelong passion for storytelling. From an early age, he immersed himself in the dramatic arts, performing in stage plays, local radio programs, and a national commercial for Chapman's Ice Cream. This early love for acting led him to study at Yaphat-Toar Dramatic Academy, where he not only honed his craft as an actor but also discovered his natural talent for directing, successfully helming two stage productions. Building on this foundation, Charlton received a scholarship to the Toronto Media and Film College in Canada, where he studied film production. His work there led to directing and producing several short films, including the critically acclaimed The Cello Tutor, Friends in Dark Places, and Dances with Mira (2025). Committed to mastering every dimension of filmmaking, Charlton expanded his training with a Writing Program Diploma from InFocus Film School, a diploma in Animation and VFX (specializing in Houdini) from Vancouver Animation School, and studies in 3D Animation at Vancouver Visual Arts School. In 2022, he further strengthened his producing expertise by studying at the New York Film Academy. Today, Charlton brings together his diverse background in acting, writing, directing, producing, and visual effects to create cinematic works that merge creativity with technical precision.
