Biography

Emmy started her performing arts training in primary school. She has vocal, dance and acting training. She studied at the Barnyard Theatre and ACT Cape Town during high school. She later graduated from AFDA Film School, also known as the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, in 2011, with a BA degree in film and performance.

After that, she returned to Act Cape Town to continue honing her acting craft. She also worked with D. David Morin and Sean Cameron Michael, to name a few, to further develop her accent training and acting skills.

Emmy is a musical talent. She writes and sings soulful R&B music as well. Her debut Single 'Got You' beautifully captures being there for someone through thick and thin because of the powerful love they share. "I love being able to express the feelings and emotions that people are too afraid to share or speak about, yet need or want to hear, "Emmy" shares. During her younger years, she trained at the Bellville Academy of Music and later went on to have private vocal lessons with Barry Prince, a very talented singing coach.
