Early in his career Lucas directed many award winning short films like Green (2015), Glimp (2015), Deadwood (2016), No Dog in Amsterdam (2020) and Wall #4 (2021).
Then he went on to direct the Dutch children's television series "Tentje Plof" (English title: Let's Go Camping!), which was released in 2025.
In 2026 his new television series Oorlog-stories: Het Geheim van Mijn Vader will air on Dutch television. It's set in World War II and follows Adriaan, a boy who is searching for his father who has gone missing.
In 2027 his first feature: Piano Lesson will be released.
